The Dawson Co-op stared with a membership of 9 local farmers over 100 years ago in 1921.
The Dawson Co-op is owned entirely by local member owners. This means we are here to serve the needs of our community – not outside investors.
Our membership has grown to over 15,000 in 2024.

Whether you are looking for a recommendation on the best gluten free bread or which tile will be the best fit in your home we are here to help. Our staff have a diverse set of skills and knowledge to help you with any project or need you may have.
As most of our staff are also members owners of the Dawson Co-op they are dedicated to the success of the Co-op.
Did you know that in 2023 the Dawson Co-op gave back over $100,000 to the community in sponsorships and donations?
The Dawson Co-op has partnerships with many other local groups and organizations such as the Northern Lights College, Ovintiv Events Centre, The Mile 0 Cruisers and many more.
Future sustainability is very important to the Dawson Co-op. This is why we have initiatives such as a partnership with Loop Resources which diverts food waste from landfills by having local farmers feed food scraps to their livestock.
