Well… that got competitive FAST.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who made the 2026 Co-op Contractor Expo Belt Sander Races such a blast!

Four brave competitors put their sanders to the test, but Stephen from Northern Lights College came out on top AGAIN this year with his seriously impressive racing machine. We’re starting to think he may be taking this belt sander business a little too seriously.

And a very special thank you to Frank from NLC for creating our very own CUSTOM Co-op racer — it was way too good not to show off! Check out the unboxing video below.

On Thursday, September 10, 2026, as part of our annual Contractor Expo, the Dawson Co-op Home & Agro Centre will transform into a high-octane racing arena as modified belt sanders battle it out head-to-head in a showdown unlike anything the Peace Region has seen before.

Whether you’re racing, sponsoring, or cheering from the sidelines, this is an event you won’t want to miss.

Competitors will have the opportunity to customize and tune their machines before taking on challengers in a winner-take-all tournament format.
