At Dawson Co-op, giving back to our community isn’t just a checkbox on our to-do list—it’s a heartfelt commitment we embrace with open arms.
We’re all about spreading smiles and making a difference where it matters most. Whether it’s sponsoring minor hockey, pitching in for community clean-up days, or lending a hand at the neighborhood food bank, we’re there with bells on, ready to roll up our sleeves and get involved.
But it’s not just about writing checks or ticking off volunteer hours. It’s about being part of something bigger, about lending a hand to our neighbors when they need it most. That’s why we’re always looking for new ways to give back, whether it’s through eco-friendly initiatives or supporting local artisans and entrepreneurs. Because at Dawson Co-op, we believe that together, we can create a community that’s stronger, happier, and more vibrant than ever before.

Dawson Co-op Sponsorship and Donations FAQs
Dawson Co-op’s Community Support Fund provides cash or in-kind donations to non-profit groups and organizations to help support programming, complete projects or improve facilities and/or services that enhance the quality of life in the communities we serve.
This program also includes community sponsorships and gift card/product donations.
We welcome applications from:
· Non-profit/registered charitable organizations exempt from taxation under the Canada Income Tax Act, whose programs and services benefit our community
· Not-for-profit community groups and youth organizations
- Applications are accepted year round.
- Applications are reviewed and the recipients will be chosen at the discretion of Dawson Co-op.
- Recipients must provide a report – The Celebration Form – to Dawson Co-op on the success of the program, how the funds were used and the impact the funds had on the program. This report shall be provided within one week of completion of the program or project.

Please note that preference will be given to those groups with a Co-op membership, and that your group’s purpose should align with our Co-op’s values of Integrity, Community and Excellence.
Dawson Co-op, like other community-minded businesses, receives numerous requests for donations. Please allow a minimum of 2 weeks to review your requests and respond.
We work hard to assist in as many community organizations as possible, however due to the high volume of requests received, not all worthwhile proposals will be approved.
Such a response does not reflect upon the value of your organization and the valuable service you provide.
Dawson Co-op serves the communities of Dawson Creek, Pouce Coupe, Rolla, Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge. We believe in supporting the growth of all the communities we are a part of.
