Gas Bar Attendants (FT)

Dawson Co-op invites applications for 2 Gas Pump Attendants (full-time) to join our team at our Gas Bar (C-Store) located in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. These openings have required schedules of Monday to Friday, with hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm, or 10:00am to 6:30pm.
The Gas Pump Attendants will perform several tasks as part of the workflow at our facilities. These positions are also responsible for delivering high quality customer service to all Dawson Co-op Gas Bar (C-Store) guests, customers and Co-op members.

The ideal candidates will be competent individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and will be team-oriented, results-driven and focused. The candidates will ensure that operations are carried out productively so as to ensure profitability and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Gas Bar Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • To come to work with a positive, professional attitude
  • To be punctual and dependable for all scheduled shifts
  • Provide exceptional, courteous, and timely customer service that aligns with Dawson Co-op’s values and upholds our Customer Service Standards
  • Perform interior/exterior housekeeping and maintenance duties
  • Work inside and outside in all weather conditions, providing assistance for both full service and self-service at the pumps
  • Use safe practices and strong attention to detail while operating the gas and diesel pumps as well as supplying propane to customers
  • Fill Propane cylinders for customers
  • To be familiar with and adhere to Dawson Co-op Policies and Procedures, including the Dress Code and Grooming Policy
  • Assist in maintaining inventory on shelves and other areas of the Gas Bar, as directed by the Gas Bar Supervisor and Gas Bar Manager
  • Operate the cash till and Point of Sale (POS) terminals, and Lottery Terminal
  • Perform opening and closing procedures
  • Complete all assigned tasks as directed by the Gas Bar Supervisor or Gas Bar Manager
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail store or gas station environment is preferred
  • Customer service oriented, friendly and outgoing
  • Punctual, self-driven, reliable, and responsible
  • Strong attention to detail
