Driver Sales Representative (Class 1 or Class 3)
Responsibilities for this position include the following:
Dawson Co-op invites applications for the position of Driver Sales Representative (Class 1 or Class 3) to join our team at our Cardlock located in Dawson Creek, British Columbia.
Reporting to the Petroleum Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for primarily delivering bulk fuel in a professional and efficient manner, which includes the following:
- Come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude
- Be dependable for all scheduled shifts
- Deliver product in a professional and efficient manner
- Follow and maintain a customer contact program
- Maintain and clean the delivery unit
- Maintain service records at the bulk plant
- Keep accurate and timely driver reports
- Ability to work standard shifts Monday to Friday, with Saturday on call rotation to allow adequate rest periods
- Adhere to all Dawson Co-operative Union policies and procedures
- Adhere to all Dawson-Co-operative Union health and safety standards per the Health and Safety manual
- Always practice safe handling procedures with all product and equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Local area knowledge
- Positive and results oriented attitude; to prospect, communicate and identify opportunities for success
- Motivated self-starter
- First Aid and TDG Certification would be an asset
- Ability to safely lift 50 pounds regularly
- Must be comfortable working at heights and with ladders
- Valid Class One or Class Three with air brakes & a clean drivers abstract
- Ability to maintain positive relationships at all levels
Working Conditions
- Frequent travel to and around Northern British Columbia and Alberta is required; classified as short haul drivers
- Requires frequent interaction and follow-through with all customers, suppliers, management, and team members
- Frequent exposure to various environmental conditions including heat, cold, dust, fumes, chemicals, and other environmental conditions
- Frequent physical requirements including lifting, climbing, sitting for long periods, bending, and twisting
Compensation and Benefits
- Between $24.81 and $32.37 per hour commensurate on qualifications and experience
