Marlana Blouin

With more than 20 years in the credit union system, Marlana works daily within a cooperative environment where member voices guide decisions. As co-CEO of Lake View Credit Union, she collaborates closely with a democratic board, contributes to strategic planning, and supports transparent, responsible governance.
This experience has strengthened her belief in organizations that put people first and invest directly in the communities they serve. Marlana brings a practical, thoughtful approach to leadership. She values listening, asking good questions, and making balanced decisions that support both current and future members. She is committed to keeping the Dawson Co-op strong, locally grounded, and aligned with the unique character of the Peace region.
She is also a long-time member of Sunrise Rotary Club, keeping her closely connected to community.
Judy Clavier

Years as a local farmer and owning a catering company, I’ve had the opportunity to experience our Co-op’s business lines firsthand. That perspective helps me understand the realities our organization faces every day.
My governance experience includes serving as a Director with Federated Co-operatives Ltd and as a School District trustee. Today, I serve as Chair of the Governance Committee, a role I find both challenging and rewarding. I value collaboration, but I also believe in asking the tough questions to ensure strong, responsible oversight.
I’m a lifelong learner and have taken every opportunity to grow through courses, conferences, and reading. Earning my Co-op Director Designation is something I’m especially proud of.
I also currently serve on the DC Golf Board, which has broadened my appreciation for community connections and engagement.
I believe our staff and management are essential to our Co-op’s success, and I deeply value their contributions. At the same time, I never lose sight that our membership is at the heart of everything we do.
I enjoy gardening, reading, camping, and sharing my passion for the Co-op.
Fran Haughian

My name is Fran Haughian, Dawson Creek has been home for the past 16 years. My two wonderful granddaughters are growing up here, my dog Tuk keeps life interesting, and I enjoy supporting local, especially at the farmer’s markets. Those everyday connections to local businesses and producers are part of what keeps our community strong, and they’re a big reason I’m putting my name forward for the Board of Directors of the Dawson Co-operative Union.
My professional background is in community development, economic development, and communications. Through my work with Community Futures Peace Liard, I’ve supported local businesses and entrepreneurs through advisory services and economic initiatives. I’ve worked with business owners, non-profits, local government, and community partners to strengthen our regional economy, and to support sustainable growth. This work has given me the opportunity to bring people together, listen to different perspectives, and help move practical solutions forward.
I believe co-operatives play an important role in communities like ours. As member-owned organizations, they reinvest locally and are guided by the people they serve. Supporting businesses that reinvest in our community helps strengthen local jobs, services, and long-term stability.
I care about practical decisions that support our members and our community.
As a director, I would bring a collaborative approach, strong communication skills, and a commitment to listening to members and asking thoughtful questions.
I believe good governance comes from preparation, respectful discussion, and keeping members’ interests at the centre. I would be honoured to serve and contribute to the continued success of the Dawson Co-operative Union.
Tyler Marion

Tyler and wife, Leanne, own and operate Marion Construction & Excavation Ltd as well as Northwestern ICF Supply Ltd. Tyler and Leanne have a blended family with 6 children.
Tyler was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2010 and was acclaimed in 2011. Tyler brings many years of experience to the board, since 2011 Tyler has served as President and Vice President and Chaired many Committees. He currently Chairs the Fixed Assets and Planning Committee.
Tyler brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, business and board, providing value as a Director, and would like to ask for your vote at the upcoming AGM.
Thank you!
Pat Mason

Pat was born and raised in the Peace River Country, and moved to Dawson Creek over 45 years ago after meeting his wife, a local girl. They raised their three children in the community, two of whom continue to live in the local area and raise families of their own, providing them with three cherished grandchildren.
Personal interests include camping and exploring the back country with ATVs, snowmobiles and river boats. Restoring and driving old vehicles keeps him involved with the local Mile Zero Cruiser Club, and his grandchildren keep him busy volunteering to help with school and after school activities.
Pat looks forward to the opportunity of working with the Dawson Co-op Board of Directors, to ensure that the association continues to be a successful cornerstone of the community, continues to provide values to its members, and remains an employer of choice in South Peace area.
