Bakery Clerks

Dawson Co-op invites applications for 3 open positions of Bakery Clerk, to join our team at our Bakery Department located in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. These positions are part-time, between 12-18 hours a week.

Reporting to the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Clerk is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to all bakery customers.

Responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • Come to work with a positive and professional approach and attitude
  • Be dependable for all scheduled shifts
  • Adhere to start of day and end of day procedures
  • Ensure outstanding and courteous customer service is provided in the department at all times
  • Meet or exceed all operational objectives and administrative requirements, as directed
  • Provide service, information and assistance to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet or exceed their requirements and expectations
  • Ensure that the department produces high quality products
  • Prepare, assemble, display and merchandise all products in the department
  • Prepare and wrap product as assigned and according to standards
  • Maintain in-store signage and shelf labels
  • Provide proper maintenance of equipment, monitor case temperatures, clean equipment regularly and adhere to all sanitation and personal hygiene policies of the Dawson Co-operative Union and Government legislation, as it applies to the Bakery
  • Adhere to all Dawson Co-operative Union policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all Dawson Co-operative Union health and safety standards, per the Health and Safety manual
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Motivated self-starter with a willingness to learn
  • Friendly and outgoing
  • Reliable and responsible
  • Previous experience is an asset
  • Ability to manage relationships at all levels

Compensation and Benefits

  • Between $17.92 per hour
